QT Cases has grown out of nearly 50 years of evolution and change. The Quick Transfer group of companies began in 1959 with the founding of a small household moving company. Herb Mueller, a recent immigrant to Canada, gathered all his resources and used the $300 to acquire three small stake trucks. With a new opportunity in a new country, he prided himself on hard work, diligence, honesty and integrity. Before long Quick Transfer had grown into one of Winnipeg’s largest cartage companies, distinguished by multiple awards and industry recognition. Newer and larger trucks were continually being added to the growing fleet, all operated by uniformed, well trained employees. The public responded to the quality and integrity and soon warehouses and storage facilities were built. In 1980, Ralph Mueller, eldest son of Herb, made the decision to join the family business as his life long vocation. Guided by the principles gained from his father, Ralph assumed responsibility of the now growing family business. He was joined by all four of his siblings, each taking on different roles of leadership. Under his direction, The Quick Transfer Group has taken an ambitious line at expansion and diversification while not swaying from the values that the company was founded on.

Over the past fifteen years The Quick Transfer Group has expanded into specialized freight, export packaging, container loading and custom casing. The specialized freight division now operates cross border runs throughout North America and is seeing year over year exponential growth.

Within the moving industry, Quick Transfer was responsible for packing and shipping the most valuable articles and belongings of individuals. It was from this experience in packing that the beginnings of the export packaging division was formed. If fine china could be packed for shipment around the world, why couldn’t machinery and commercial products be packaged for shipment overseas? A new division was born crating and container loading for export purposes. Crating is a one use, one way shipping material and a new opportunity was soon seen in reusable shipping containers. As research was done a distinct need within the custom case market was seen. A need for high quality, hand crafted, highly customized shipping containers. QT Cases was born and is growing to become one of the cornerstones of the Quick Transfer Group.

All three divisions have been founded on the same principles and values. These values are present in all members of the now diverse management team. A small family company has shifted to becoming a corporation now servicing every corner of North America. The reason for the success of the Quick Transfer Group is simple; even as a large company the foundations from the beginning have remained the same.
